What will I be doing?  Managing the income tax compliance processes for the office, including supervising and reviewing tax returns for a diverse mix of entities and individuals.  Building client relationships by demonstrating a thorough understanding of the client’s business that extends beyond tax-related aspects, and effectively identifying and delivering opportunities to them.  Inspiring, leading, and mentoring team members, including delegating assignments to promote an environment of learning, mentoring, and teamwork.  Identifying accounting, business and tax issues/opportunities and developing practical solutions/recommendations.  Clearly communicating recommendations verbally and in writing.  Instructing and facilitating both internal/external training opportunities for the team.  Participating in recruiting of new and experienced tax team members, and participating in the performance review process.  Handling special projects as needed. What skills and knowledge should I have?  6+ years of experience in general income tax preparation, planning, review, and consulting.  High level of technical proficiency in the area of income taxation, including tax planning; research; multi-state, international, and consolidated tax issues; working with the taxing authorities; and experience with FAS 109.  Managerial experience coordinating multiple projects and teams.  Highly motivated, exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.  Ability to work at a fast pace, handle multiple client engagements, multi-task, and meet deadlines.  Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), including ability to simplify and communicate complex business information and recommendations.  Solid technology skills, including all Office applications, QuickBooks, and other accounting system expertise.  CPA license.  Bilingual skills a plus.
