What will I be doing? Managing the income tax compliance processes for the office, including supervising and reviewing tax returns for a diverse mix of entities and individuals. Building client relationships by demonstrating a thorough understanding of the client’s business that extends beyond tax-related aspects, and effectively identifying and delivering opportunities to them. Inspiring, leading, and mentoring team members, including delegating assignments to promote an environment of learning, mentoring, and teamwork. Identifying accounting, business and tax issues/opportunities and developing practical solutions/recommendations. Clearly communicating recommendations verbally and in writing. Instructing and facilitating both internal/external training opportunities for the team. Participating in recruiting of new and experienced tax team members, and participating in the performance review process. Handling special projects as needed. What skills and knowledge should I have? 6+ years of experience in general income tax preparation, planning, review, and consulting. High level of technical proficiency in the area of income taxation, including tax planning; research; multi-state, international, and consolidated tax issues; working with the taxing authorities; and experience with FAS 109. Managerial experience coordinating multiple projects and teams. Highly motivated, exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work at a fast pace, handle multiple client engagements, multi-task, and meet deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), including ability to simplify and communicate complex business information and recommendations. Solid technology skills, including all Office applications, QuickBooks, and other accounting system expertise. CPA license. Bilingual skills a plus. What are the benefits?
