1. Introduction

Further to your request for information, please find below a response to your question(s) and a copy of your original request.

2. FoI Response

Detailed below are responses to the questions raised within your FoI request (please refer to ‘Appendix 1’):

. Are your current ICT needs provided using in house resource or outsourced to a third party ICT managed services provider? If using a third party provider who is this and when does the contract end/come up for renewal?

The Council’s primary ICT activities/services are currently delivered in-house.

. Who are the technology providers of your voice systems, e.g. MiTel, Siemens, Cisco, etc.?

Avaya.

. Do you have corporate Wi-Fi and if so who is your supplier and vendor?

Yes (but not at all sites). The current solution is by Aruba via Mavoda (Ampito Ltd).

. Have you deployed unified communications within your networks?

Yes.

. Who are the technology providers of any videoconferencing systems e.g. Polycom, Tandberg etc.?

Logicalis.

. Who are the technology providers of your current data networking e.g. Cisco, HP, etc.?

Extreme Networks.

. Who provides your wide area network?

The Councils currently uses the following companies for its WAN provision:

 Virgin Media Business  BT

. When does the contract end/come up for renewal?

Please note that the Council do not currently have ‘active’ contracts in place with either of the above suppliers as we will shortly be going out to tender for WAN services provision. The tender will be issued via the Council’s preferred procurement channel, The Chest.

. How many sites are connected to you WAN?

There are currently 160 (approx.) sites connected to the WAN.

I work with Pinacl Solutions UK Limited which is an ICT Solutions and Managed Services company. I would like to understand more about your ICT provision.

Could you please advise me?
