Dear Fellow Congregant:

I hope you are enjoying a wonderful, relaxing summer. It seems hard to believe that the High Holidays are just around the corner, and our entire TBI family will begin a special, exciting, and –although a little bittersweet – New Year this September.

Our beloved Cantor Blum will crown more than 40 years as TBI’s Cantor, leading our community in song and prayer one last time for the High Holidays, as he opens a new chapter as Cantor Emeritus. His uplifting voice, together with Rabbi Mishkin’s inspiring, thoughtful and moving message and teachings, is sure to make the upcoming year even more meaningful and memorable.

As the clergy and congregation prepares for the busy season ahead, I would like to take this opportunity to offer a gentle reminder concerning our policy regarding the distribution of High Holiday tickets and service considerations.

 NEW THIS YEAR: If you are a member in good standing (those members who have paid at least one half of their current year’s dues, school fees and other obligations, as well as any past due balances from the previous year) High Holiday tickets will automatically be mailed to you.  Please read and complete the form; it will help the office speed the processing. This year, like last, we are offering single day tickets. All guest tickets must be for paid in advance.  Tickets will be mailed after Labor Day. We cannot mail tickets or distribute honors to any family who has not fulfilled their financial obligations.  No tickets will be mailed after Thursday, September 15th. Tickets not mailed by that date will be available for pick up in the Temple office.  We expect our synagogue to be quite crowded. Remember that there are no assigned seats and no reserved seats. We ask that parents hold young children on their laps during times of overcrowding.  Finally, if you have your own tallit, please bring it with you as we have a limited supply on hand.

B’Shalom, Happy and healthy New Year to you and your families.
