Expression of Interest Head Teacher 0.4 Western Access Program

Expressions of interest are invited from teachers interested in a career opportunity relieving in the position of Head Teacher Western Access Program 0.4 for the remainder of the year. The position with be located at one of the 6 Western Access Program Schools and will be negotiated with the successful applicant to be at Peak Hill, Trangie, Trundle, Tottenham, Tullamore or Yeoval Central Schools.

Selection criteria

Teaching qualifications and recent school based experience.

Demonstrated innovative teaching practice using interactive technology and video conferencing.

Demonstrated capacity to lead the engagement and delivery of high quality lessons to rural students.

Demonstrated ability to identify professional learning needs of staff and the ability to implement successfully.

Knowledge of and commitment to the Department’s Aboriginal Education policies.

One of the referees listed must be the applicant’s current principal or supervisor for non-school-based staff. Expressions of interest must not exceed 2 A4 pages and require the signature of the applicant’s current principal or supervisor.
