[Final Announcement] General Information for Participants

1. ORGANIZER

The organizing committee of IPS-18 is very pleased to host The 18th International Conference on Photochemical Conversion and Storage of Sola Energy(IPS-18) from July 25~30, 2010 in Korea University, Seoul, Korea.

2. Participants & Presentations Around 600 participants from 30 countries will attend the conference. There will be altogether 18 Plenary lectures, 12 Invited talks, 115 Oral presentations, and 294 Poster presentations during the conference. Plenary Lecturers Invited Speakers Final Program

The official language is English. All printed materials will be distributed in English.

No breakfast will be offered. Lunch will be provided those registered as participants and students. At this time, participants need to give the lunch coupon to staffs. Lunch coupon is inside of name badge. Lunch is provided in the student restaurant -Aegineung Cafeteria (2F/3F), outside of conference building.

8. Social Programs Welcome Reception July 25(Sun), 17:00~19:00, Hana Square Atrium - Standing Buffet Dinner - All registered participants are invited.

Opening Ceremony July 26(Mon), 08:30-09:00, Room1(5F, Science Library) Conference Dinner July 29(Fri) 18:30-22:00, The Korea House - Korean Style Buffet Dinner - Pre-paid participants only - All participants of conference dinner are cordially asked to be gathered to the front door of Science Library (1F) by 18:20. The participants will move to ‘The Korea House” by shuttle bus.

9. Presentation Guideline Oral Presentation Guideline Poster Presentation Guideline - Pre-view Room Please visit the pre-view room at least 2 hours prior to the start of your session. You should check your presentation file whether it works correctly in our system. If it does not work or if you have any other requests, please let our staff know in the pre-view room. -Place: Secretariat Room(Hana Square) & next to the entrance of Room1(Science Library ) -Operation Hours: July 26(Mon)~29(Fri) 07:30 ~ 18:00 July 30(Fri) 07:30 ~ 13:00

- Presentation File Load/Technical Equipment  After checking your file, please submit the file to the staff in the lecture room that you will present.  The IBM-compatible laptops will run on the Windows XP Operating System and will have Microsoft Office 2003/2007 Power-Point.  If you bring your own computer, we ask you to test your computer with the system located in the lecture room where you will hold your presentation during the previous break in order to avoid delays.  In particular, if you bring your Mackintosh computer for the presentation, please test it in the lecture room at least 4 hours before the session.

- Presentation Time  Plenary Lecturers: 40 mins including Q&A  Invited Speakers: 20 mins including Q&A  Oral Presentation: 15 mins including Q&A  Poster Presentation: All presenters are requested to affix their posters by 9:00 a.m. on their own presentation day and remove them after the presentation. 10. Transportation From Incheon Int’l Airport Most international airlines service Incheon International Airport, newly opened on April 1, 2001. Incheon International Airport (IIA), located in the city of Incheon, is the biggest and main international airport in Korea. It is a 60-minute drive from IIA to Korea University. It costs approximately US$45 by regular taxi and US$80 via deluxe taxi. All fares are payable in KRW only. For more information on transportation from the airport to Downtown Seoul, please visit the IIA web site at http://www.airport.or.kr

By LIMOUSINE You need to take Dobong- and Gangbook-bound buses to get to the venue. You can catch them at the 3B, 10A Bus Stops at the entrance of Incheon Airport. The bus fare is 13,000 won. Kiosks that sell tickets for the bus are located near the bus stops. Information desks in the airport can point you in the right direction. Buses operate at 20 ~ 40 minute intervals from 6AM till 10PM. Get off at the Korea University stop. You should take a subway for a one stop to Anam station. Line No. Six. Should you have any questions, please call the Korea City Air Terminal at 02-551-0790.

By TAXI From the airport to Korea University, it costs approximately KRW 50,000 ~ 60,000 by taxi (up to 4 people). The fare of a regular and deluxe taxi starts from KRW 2,400 and KRW 4,500, respectively. Most taxi drivers know the directions to Korea University-Anam Station (pronounced in Korean as 'Go-Ryo Dae- hak-kyo- A-nam-yeok'). By SUBWAY

From Incheon International Airport to the Seoul subway system, take the airport railroad. Transfer at the

Gimpo Airport Station to Line No 5 (Purple) bound for Gangdong. It takes about 35 minutes from Gimpo Airport

Station to Gongduk which is your second transfer station. Transfer again at Gongduk station to Line No.

6(Brown) bound for Bonghwasan. It may take about 25 minutes to Anam Station. Take exit No. 4 for conference venue. Total subway fare from Incheon International airport to Korea University is KRW 4,900.
