Athletic / Driver’s Education Information – Physical Education department faculty will be on site to answer questions regarding WHS athletic programs, WCPSS athletic eligibility, NCAA eligibility, and the Driver’s Education program.

Band Booster - Band Boosters - The purpose of this organization is to encourage, promote and support the Wakefield High School (WHS) Band programs in conjunction with, and support of, the Band Band Director. Business Alliance - The Wakefield Business Alliance assists in providing connections between educators and business professionals. Students who are beginning to plan their futures benefit from “real world” connections, while teachers gain a powerful source of community support. The alliance supports a variety of activities including career fairs, job shadowing, guest speakers, mock interviews, internships, and much more. This organization provides opportunity for parents to share their knowledge of the business world with the students and faculty of WHS.

Child Nutrition Services Information – Information will be available about the Child Nutrition program available at Wakefield High School.

Media Center – The Media Specialists will provide information on the resources and support available to students through the school Media Center.

Hispanic Family Center of Raleigh - Information regarding health, job training, immigration, and referrals to help Hispanic families better integrate into the community and improve their living.

HomeBase Information – Home Base is a statewide student information system that has replaced NC WISE and SPAN starting in the 2013-14 school year. Home Base gives parents and students access to real-time information including attendance, grades and assignments. With Home Base, powered by Pearson's PowerSchool application, everyone stays connected: Students stay on top of assignments, parents are able to participate in their child's progress, and teachers can instantly share information from their gradebook with parents and students. Families with multiple students can also set up their accounts to view all of their students at one time, with one login. Parent Portal forms will be available and can be completed on-site.

PTSA – Wakefield High School PTSA is a volunteer organization of parents, faculty and students working jointly to assist in the education, recognition and support for our school community. Become a PTSA member and learn how you can volunteer. Help is needed for our programs which include AIM, Lamp of Knowledge (GPA 3.5+), PRIDE, Wakefield STRONG, Parenting Partners, Senior Scholarships, Graduation Receptions and Teacher Appreciation. Student Government Association - The Wakefield Student Government Association provides financial support to the entire Wakefield High Community: Athletics, Newspaper, Arts, and clubs. SGA will be selling … (need to update).

Student Services Information – The Wakefield High School Student Services Department offers a variety of services to the Wakefield Community. Counselors will be available to answer general questions.

Transportation Information - Information will be available about the Transportation services available at Wakefield High School.

WHS Choral Booster Organization – Parent support for the WHS Choral Booster program. This organization’s primary responsibility is to provide supplemental financial support and to assist the director to help manage the logistics of travel, performances, and event planning. Traditionally, the choral boosters have been instrumental to the growth of the chorus program. This group meets periodically, as called for by the executive officers of the organization.

Wakefield Theatre Company -- Established in 2000 with the opening of Wakefield High School. Our mission is to provide a safe environment for young people to discover what theatre has to offer as a performer, technician or spectator. We currently offer three main stage productions, two educational matinee performances an annual Haunted House and our annual singing scholarship competition Wakefield's GOT IT! Wolverine Club – The Wakefield Wolverine Club (WWC) provides and assists the Wakefield High School Athletic and Physical Education Departments with funding for expenses. The major fund raising initiatives by the WWC are Booster Club Memberships/Season Ticket Sales, Apparel Sales, Sponsorship Sales, , and Athletic Tournaments/Jamborees. PE Uniforms will be sold – T-Shirts ($10), Shorts (415), Set ($25). Parent Informational Sessions 6:00 – 7:30 You may choose to attend one, two, or three sessions. Each session will be available at the times listed below. Brief descriptions of the parent interest sessions are provided.
