Shepperton Studios - Brushstroke Training Media (Film, Television, Theatre)  The course covered various make-up techniques for film, television and theatre environments. We covered cinema techniques for close-ups, mid and distance shots, HDTV, going into detail of working with different lighting gels to achieve what is expected in studio and on location. We also covered the different make-up techniques that are used on stage.  Film/TV/Theatre make-up – basic make-up techniques, ageing, facial hair application, tattoos and camouflaging techniques. Also, make-up for crowd scenes & supporting artists.  Wig making/application – Working with both hair lace and acrylic wigs, wig making and styling, microphone disguise, blocking, maintaining and dressing into various styles & fitting.  Period make-up and hair work – covering 16th century to present day.  Theatre Make-up – theatre techniques and specialty make-up including Geisha, Pantomime Fashion  High Fashion Hair and Make-up for cover shots, editorials and inside magazines  Fashion spreads, catalogue, creative looks, cat-walk and fashion styling hair and make-up  Classic and period looks for various photographic sessions including portrait and grooming for men.  We also covered airbrushing, hair extensions and a wide variety of hair techniques.  In the hair cutting and styling section of the course I was able to tailor my many years of hair experience to become a more precise session stylist. Special Effects  Prosthetics starting with casting, sculpting, foam runs and preparing moulds.  We covered application painting, air brushing, bald caps, makeup and design of prosthetic pieces.  Burns, bruising, wounds, sweat, tears, diseases, miscellaneous injuries and deaths.  Gained experience working with gelatine, blood, wax and gums.
