1. On the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign website: subscribe to an open discussion list about assessment. Email posts to the list are distributed to all subscribers. Archives are often available. To subscribe, send the following one line message to the email address: subscribe assess
2. Launched in 2003 by the Research and Planning Group for California Community Colleges and the Center for Student Success. Provides a forum for discussing effective and practical ways of using assessment for improving student learning while meeting new WASC Accreditation Standards. Furthermore, each week moderators will e-mail participants short presentations and/or summaries of participants’ comments on an important issue in assessment. Initial topics planned are: a. Developing course-level learning outcomes b. Assessing course-level learning outcomes c. Integrating course-level assessment with department/program practice d. Developing and assessing program-level learning outcomes e. Developing a simple and effective assessment system f.
