Absence Policy Absences result in a score of “zero” out of twenty possible points in the Participation category for that date. You must arrange completion of a quiz that will be missed with the BATS manager prior to the absence. All assignments due must be handed in prior to the due date.

If you will be absent, then you will have no subsequent opportunities to complete the quiz from that class.

Grading System The grading system is designed to maintain high performance in all areas of responsibility through point-based avoidance contingencies. You will receive a grade sheet weekly. The following is a list of the grade areas and the minimum percentage required in each to earn an “A” PSY 5980—Professional Issues in Behavior Analysis.

 96% Quizzes: 20 points each  92% Participation: 10 points per hour  92% Homework: 20 points each

Your PSY 5980 grade includes your performance on the Lifetime Memory Quizzes, Homework, and Participation. The grade required to earn an “A” is as follows:

Grade Matrix (Graduate) Lowest % among other 2 areas: Homework & Participation Minimum % on 92 87 82 77 Quizzes 96 A BA B CB 92 BA B CB C 87 B CB C DC

If, at any time, your grade is less than a “B,” you will be required to participate in a Performance Management contract with the BATS Manager, no exceptions. This will be an additional grade category, for which you must earn 92% to earn an “A.”
