Total Loss Control assumes no legal responsibility for misinformation given to the inspector at the time of the survey, nor should it be implied that there are no other deficiencies on site that may not have been observed by the inspector. We also assume no liability for delayed reports. All of the information is for underwriting purposes only and not intended for any other use.

PUBLIC ACCESS The only public access is the boat owners who rent a slip or have there boat stored on the racks.

CONCLUSION

This company started in 2001. Their hours of operation are 8am to 7pm.

The insured is a full service marina with wet slips and dry storage. The insured does not do any boat repairs but does lease space for repair facilities to Chelsea Marine Center which has its own separate insurance. The insured does not believe he is named as additional insured in Chelsea’s policy.

There are three non-combustible dry storage buildings, two of which were built in 1992 and one in 2002. There is one frame ship store and office building which was built in 1986 and there are 4 small frame bath house buildings which were built in 1982, 1993, 1996 and 2001.

There is a gas pump and a diesel pump on the docks and there is proper signage and there are fire extinguishers. The emergency shut off is at the office building. There are 209 dry storage spaces and there are 135 wet slips.

The insured has been in business at this location for 5 years and there are a total of 9 full time employees.

The insured does have boats in their custody. The boats are secured inside of the dry storage buildings and the property is fenced and secured.

There is a ship store on the property that sells bait, snacks, alcohol and ice. Ids are check when selling alcohol.

There are 2 large forklifts that are used in this operation. They are both Wiggin’s fork lifts. One is a 21 ton and the other is a 16 ton lift. Only certified employees operate the lifts. The employees are trained and there is a spotter used at all times.

The company does have a formal safety program and manual. Meetings are held every 6 months. Safety equipment such as goggles, gloves, masks and suits are used.

There is a concrete seawall on the property that is in good condition. There are concrete floating docks. The docks are clean and clutter free. There are handrails on the gang plank and the docks are well lit at night. The docks are cleaned daily. There are 32 fire extinguishers all over the property. The fire extinguishers are tagged and inspected. They were last tagged June 30, 2006 by Gator Fire. These extinguishers are inspected every 6 months.

Subcontractors are not used by the insured, but the individual boat owners may use subcontractors.
