Grade Weight: Your six weeks grade will be calculated as follows: Major grades (Tests/Projects): 60% Minor grades (Quizzes/Daily work): 30% Homework: 10%

Semester grades for 11th grade students: each six weeks counts 28% of the semester grade while the final exam counts 16% of the semester grade.

Yearly grades for 9th/10th grade students: all six weeks grades together will count 85% of the overall average, while the EOC test makes up the remaining 15%.

Grade Repair: Students who make below a 75 for a six weeks grade will have the opportunity to receive instruction to recover six weeks grades. When a student elects to enroll in the Grade Repair program, the student will receive quality instruction. The curriculum will recapture any skills they are lacking so that they are prepared to receive credit and also be prepared for the EOC/TAKS in April or May. This intervention plan may include students attending after school Grade Repair or Grade Repair during the school day. The highest grade a student can earn is a 75. This grade will replace the previous six weeks grade for that particular course. Students who complete 80% of the grade repair course work will receive credit.

EOC/TAKS: 9th and 10th grade students will be required to take the EOC test, which will be administered during the week of May 6 – 10, 2013. Students must pass the Algebra II EOC test in order to graduate. 11th grade students will be required to take the exit level of the TAKS test, which will be administered April 23 – 25, 2013. Students must pass the TAKS test in order to graduate

Course Content Requirements (TEKS): A complete list and description of the TEKS for Algebra II can be found at http://www.tea.state.tx.us/rules/tac/chapter111/ch111c.html#111.33

Grading Procedure: Homework: Homework will be assigned on a daily basis. You will check your assignment the next day for accuracy. Your assignments will be due as a packet on test day and will be graded on completion. An assignment packet completed with all work shown will result in a 100 for a homework grade. If you are absent, you are still responsible for the assignment(s) you miss.

Late work: Daily assignments will be accepted one day late for half credit.

Tests: Math test days are Tuesdays and Fridays. If you are absent on a test day, you will need to make arrangements to stay after school to make up the test. You will have as many days to make up a test as you were absent.

Retest Policy: If you make less than a 70 on a test you will be allowed a retest, for a maximum grade of 70. You will have no more than 5 days to complete the retest after the grade is entered into Gradespeed. The summative test will not replace any lower test grade.
