• Mildred De Weerd who fell and broke a bone in her wrist.
• Mary Eisma who is recovering from hip surgery.
• Bob Eisma who suffered a stroke Wednesday morning that has affected his ability to speak. He was admitted to St. Luke’s where he will receive care, more tests and begin therapy. Continue to pray for Mary and the family in the trying days ahead.
• Continued prayers for healing in Calvin's life. Calvin's 93 yr. old mother died last Wednesday, she was doing well, but last Sunday had a set back and lingered till Wednesday PM when God took her home. Her funeral will be Monday at Cornerstone United Reformed Church in Sanborn.
• Curtis, Gilbert, Jason, Tim, Sylvia, Kory, Megan, Deb and all who are dealing with health concerns.

--CHRISTIAN ED WILL BE MEETING in the sanctuary today after the morning service for the upcoming new year and election of officers! Please be in attendance!
--YOUNG PEOPLE’S will be showing a video of their Guatemala Trip this morning during the service.
--MAURICE REFORMED CHURCH HAS INVITED us to join them THIS EVENING at 6:30 PM for their worship service. The Guatemala team will be talking and sharing pictures of their recent trip. There will be no PM Service at Ireton CRC.
APPRECIATION SUNDAY – Next Sunday, September 4, cake will be served after the morning service. We want to thank Gale for serving as our interim Pastor over the last several months. Gale's ministry, counsel and commitment to our church family have greatly been appreciated and you will be missed. We also want to thank and show our appreciation to all of those who put so much time and effort in updating the parsonage. May we rejoice and enjoy fellowship in being part of the family of God. We truly are blessed! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY WISHES TO Gilbert and Mildred De Weerd who will be celebrating their 61st Wedding Anniversary on Friday, September 2.

--FREE SEMINAR WITH SUCCESSION PLANNERS OF NW IOWA - Are you involved in a farming operation or a small/large business and you are interested in learning how to plan for futures generations? ADVANCED ANNOUNCEMENTS --COUNCIL MEETING will be held on Tuesday, September 6 at 7:00 pm. --THE NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) SUPPORT GROUP will meet in the Fireside Room of Central Reformed Church in Sioux Center from 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, September 6. Cheryl Buntsma, a Certified Prevention Consultant, will tell about the services available through Compass Pointe Behavioral Health. Individuals and family members coping with mental illness are invited to join us. For information call Shirley Matheis 722-4462.
--GEMS will kick off the season on Wednesday, September 14. Our meetings will be on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month from 6:30-8:15. More details to follow for this year's KICK OFF. --CORNERSTONE PRISON CHURCH FAITH FELLOWSHIP WEEKEND will be Friday, Sept 23 – 6:00-8:00 pm & Sept 24 & 25 – 7:15am-4:00pm each day. The theme for the weekend is “Being a Man of God.” Join us for worship, large group talks and small group discussions. The deadline for signing up is Thursday, September 8. --THE NAMI IOWA FAMILY-TO-FAMILY EDUCATION PROGRAM for family members of persons with serious mental illness will be offered at the Sioux Center Public Library at 6:30pm on Thursdays for 12 weeks beginning September 8. The course is FREE and will be taught by trained family member volunteer leaders, Barb Addink (712 567-4727) and Shirley Matheis (722-4462 or [email protected]). Please register today.
--AUDITIONS FOR MEMBERSHIP IN THE NORTHWEST IOW SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA will be held on Friday, September 9 and Saturday, September 10. Anyone wishing to play in the orchestra for the first time must audition, and all student members need to re-audition each year. --MOMS IN PRAYER “United…Three States—One Heart for Prayer” Saturday, September 10, 9am - 2pm, Sunnybrook Church, Sioux City, IA. Women from Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota are invited to gather to praise Jesus, gain insights from Moms in Prayer state and regional directors, and together intercede for children and schools. --2016 MINN-IA-KOTA RETREAT You won’t want to miss an amazing concert by Captivating Keyboards at the Carmel Reformed Church on Tuesday, September 13. Both musicians have studied piano performance through the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago and are exceptional together. At the concert, hosted by Bible League International Volunteers, there will be a unique opportunity to give an offering to provide Bibles to Africa. Concert tickets can be purchased at the door for just $10 and doors open at 6:30 pm. You won’t want to miss this great evening of music!
