*We may use supplemental classroom textbook sets and materials throughout the semester. Break Time At 10:10, students take a 20 minute break until 10:30. Students may use computers during this time. (Students are not permitted to use the computers to check or respond to e-mail in their native language. Students are also not allowed to browse the internet in their native language. Our computers are for English use only).

Weekly Tests Each Friday we will have 1) a spelling test consisting of 20 spelling words, and 2) a weekly topics quiz (vocabulary/grammar/reading, etc.) consisting of 20 questions. Both tests are an excellent way for you to review what we have studied during the week and to evaluate your own learning. You can record test results on your “goals sheet” to see your progress over the semester

Please make sure that you have your Student ID card. You will need this for CASAS tests, EL Civics, and to register for upcoming semesters. You can get this card at the Student Services Center.
