9.00–9.05 Opening by the Chair

9.05-9.15 Introduction by the draftsperson of the FEMM opinion on the proposal for a Council Regulation laying down the multi-annual financial framework for the years 2014-2020

Each of the presentations by the experts of Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini (FGB) will be followed by a question and answer session with Members and NGO representatives introduced by the respective draftpersons

9.15–9.35 Francesca Bettio, University of Siena, Italy, FGB Introduction into the method of gender budgeting

9.35-10.10 Francesca Bettio, University of Siena, Italy, FGB ECONOMIC INDEPENDENCE Assesses the impact of the proposals on the employment situation of women and men, the work/private life balance, pensions, women entrepreneurship and the fight against poverty
