Rockin’ The Laneways – Application drafting tool Introduction

Use this tool to draft your application. Once drafted you will need to copy and paste your drafted text and budget into the corresponding boxes on the Grants Portal.

Before starting an application, make sure you have read and understood the program guidelines on creative.vic.gov.au/rockinthelaneways Application Details Section 1 – General Section

The fields in Section 1 are included in the drafting tool as they will need to be completed on the Grants Portal. The only field in this section that benefits from being drafted – that is, crafted and refined – is the Project Description. Section 1 is a generic section that all applicants respond to across all programs.

Section 2 – Project/Program Details

It is important to provide a clear and comprehensive description of your project and what you are proposing to do. Each response can have a maximum of 2000 characters, including spaces. Revisit the Rockin’ The Laneways Grants guidelines at creative.vic.gov.au/rockinthelaneways to make sure your application addresses the assessment criteria and aims of the program. If you have applied for over $3,000 you will need to include a basic business plan which includes your anticipated revenue streams.

Why should this project be funded? How and why will this help build Victoria’s reputation as a cultural capital?

Describe your audience, who will be attracted to this event/project and how will you attract them? Note if you have applied for over $3,000 you will need to attach a marketing plan.

Is this project part of or linked to a larger event? Does it align with other tourism opportunities? If yes, include who and how in your answer.

Section 5 – Budget

Grant amount Conditions Complete Sections 1 to 5 under Application Grants up to $3,000 questions and required information.

A Marketing Plan (1-2 pages) including:  measurements and targets,  key messages,  an outline of your media and advertising plan including timelines  the expected outcomes of your marketing  the marketing budget  an evaluation measurement plan

Basic Business plan or overview of your proposed activity (1-2 pages) including:  your anticipated revenue streams  description of your unique selling point  how you plan to approach activity  key roles
