L&S Academic Advising Services provides academic advising to pre-declared Letters & Science undergraduate students who intend to complete a specific L&S degree and major. We assist and support students in exploring their educational goals, learning about academic requirements, navigating the university structure, and progressing towards degree completion.

Ways to get advising Advisor assignments and appointments

 One-on-one advising appointments  New freshmen are assigned to our three  General Walk-In advising freshmen advisors  Professional Academic Advisors hold walk-  Transfer students are assigned to our three in hours at pre-designated times of the week transfer advisors for advisees  On an as-needed basis and for non-routine  Email advising group (either freshman or situations, students will be assigned to the transfer group with your assigned advisors) Assistant Dean/Director with questions that have short answers  Students use the WiscCal calendaring system to schedule appointments with academic advisors
