Congratulations! I am pleased to announce that your Colorado State Administrative Committee was re- elected by acclamation. They have agreed to serve for another two years.

June 26 & 27, 2009 State Meeting and Draw, Clinic @ Gym+ Aug. 13 – 15, 2009 National Congress @ Dallas

Due to unforeseen circumstances the Level 4 State Meet cannot be held at Denver University this year. The State Administrative Committee voted to retain the same calendar. The level 4 meet is still on the same date but will need to be held somewhere besides DU’s Hamilton gym. Apologies to all those wishing to bid for Level 4 State and Use the DU facility. We do hope you will still bid!

Please note those wishing to bid for Level 7 or 8 State, the Committee would like those to be two separate meets perhaps located in the Denver metro area. The goal was to offer a chance for different clubs to host a state meet but keep the number of State Meet weekends the same. Please submit a separate bid form for Level 8 and Level 7. Thanks!

We regret to announce that John Figueroa will be unable to present his workshop on vaulting. In his place we will be having Kay Boyle, who graciously agreed to step in and help us out! We hope to bring John back at some future date. Workshops in conjunction with the State Meeting These workshops are designed for the coach who want a little bit more from their State Meeting. These workshops will be held at Gymnastics Plus on Saturday, June 27th from 11:00 to 6:00. Please come to spend the day learning on several different topics. Registration Form coming to a mailbox near you! (See enclosed flyer)

Pro-score with Kay Boyle Kay is a co-owner and Office Manager of Gymnastics Unlimited. She has been working with and exploring the capabilities of Pro-score for several years. She uses the program for all their home meets and has successfully trained many staff and parents to use Pro- score. Kay also uses it for a budgeting tool for meets, setting up rotations and delivering the proper documentation to level coordinators.

College Gymnastics Recruiting with Melissa Kutcher-Reinhardt Please come to learn about Gymnastics College Recruiting. Melissa Kutcher-Reinhardt, Denver University Women’s Head Coach will be giving a on the ins and outs of College recruiting for the gymnast.

Preschool Workshop with Beth Lee (nee Trevethick) Colorado USAG and Gym + will also hold a Preschool Workshop with Beth Lee (Trevethick) Preschool Program Director at Airborne Gymnastics. This workshop is ideal for learning new ideas, keeping the smallest people in your club challenged, engaged and still learning.

Mastering the Inner Game with Bernadette Hunter Bernadette Hunter, MS, LPC, Performance Specialist will be presenting a workshop for the mindfulness of the coach. We always talk about the mental preparation for the gymnast – this work shop is designed for you, the coach, and being mentally tough and prepared as your athletes compete.

State Meeting The Annual State Meeting will be held on Friday, June 26th, 2009. We would like you to join us for a cook out dinner and drinks at 5:30 p.m. The meeting will begin at 6:15 p.m. with the Compulsory and Optional Draw to commence directly after the State Meeting.
