Team Captain Job Description Mission The mission of the March of Dimes is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality.

Objective Serve as a volunteer “team captain” for your company for March of Dimes March for Babies. You will work in conjunction with your “Company Leader” to ensure that your team/company has fun and reaches its participation and financial goals.

Responsibilities  Recruit 10 to 15 participants raise money for March of Dimes March for Babies.  Set a goal with each participant to raise a minimum of $200.  Identify and recruit at least one participant that will set a goal to raise at least $1,000 designated as a “top participant”.  Recruit and submit names of participants and top participants using the Participant Spreadsheet.  If appropriate, develop a plan to maximize matching gift opportunities  Encourage your participants to attend your company’s internal company “Kick- off” and “Rallies” to build participation and enthusiasm for March for Babies.  Encourage your participants to use the online fundraising tool at www.marchfor babies.org.  Attend March for Babies events.
