Helping Hands Community Service Club Dear families of students interested in Helping Hands Community Service Club:

Our mission is to lend our helping hands to those in need. Assistance may be in the form of volunteering for communities, interacting/helping with the elderly, collecting supplies, reaching out to those with special needs, writing letters of encouragement to service members, or keeping TE clean.

Helping Hands typically meets every other Monday in room 208 to discuss upcoming events. A list of meeting dates is at the end of the form. Meetings are from 2:45 to 3:10 p.m. (members make take the shuttle bus home), and members may participate in various activities inside and outside of the building.

The list below shows the activities and projects that we plan to participate in. Additional projects will be added as the year progresses. Some of these activities will require parent/guardian permission as well as self-arranged transportation.

Other projects that we would like to include are:

• Helping with the Courtyards • Planting Project w/bulbs and seeds (fall and spring) • Nursing Homes-art visits. Provide materials to students and seniors, combining projects into an art show. • Visiting the Timothy School- book reading, drama, music • Guest Speakers

We encourage people to help those in need wherever they are and to share personal stories and ideas with the rest of the group on our meeting days. Let’s inspire each other to improve our communities!

Sincerely,
