Data is archived here by Date in ZIP format so you can save backup copies to your computer. Each ZIP file includes an SQL file for that table and contains the code to re-build the table structure and then insert the current data into it. You can UNZIP these files using WINZIP and open them in WordPad or NotePad (turn word wrap off in options). Anyone familiar with MySQL will know what these files are and how to use them to rebuild the database.
See the Readme.txt file on-line for more information.
Notes on Database Structure:
Your database 'totalfall' is made up of the following 10 tables:
Main Certificates Database: addresses
Stores alternate addresses for a customer (pretty much unused) certificates
Stores data for Training Certificates customers
Stores customer information including username and password equipment
Stores data for Equipment Inspection certificates notes
Stores data for when a record was last added or last modified (and by who)
Other Tables:
Will use PHPMYADMIN Console to update/modify these tables. Just let me know if you need something added/changed.
For 'Search Tools / Customer Interface': eqtypes
Used to store equipment type values in the 'Equipment Type' select menus available in the 'Equipment Inspections Database' Search tools. (including main Customer Login, HRM and Canadian Coast Guard systems and your Search/Print/Save Certificates and Optional Forms for Training and Inspections available from your Admin Index).
3 mfacts
Used to store manufacturers values in the 'Manufacturers' select menus available in the 'Equipment Inspections Database' Search tools. (same areas as eqtypes) pftypes
Used to store the PASS or FAIL/Reason values in the 'PASS/FAIL' select menus available in the 'Equipment Inspections Database' Search tools. (same areas as eqtypes)
These 3 tables have nothing to do with your main database functionality (adding/editing records) - they are there solely to make it easy to update the menu values in these areas if necessary (and future client interfaces).
Related Links Database:
The Related Links section of the web site uses the following MySQL tables: categories
Stores the Link Categories available ie: Manufacturers, Government Agencies, Gas Detection Equipment urls
Stores the actual site name, url and comments
You can manage the Links Database from your main Admin Index or from: http://www.tfp.ca/links/ADMIN/
Username: boxner Password: oxadmin
PHPMYADMIN:
PHPMYADMIN is a freely available open source application designed to set up/manage a MySQL database on the server. It lets us create backups and run other manual queries.
It is not as user friendly as your admin index and it is there primarily as a backup tool and anything you need done there - just let me know. http://www.tfp.ca/phpmyadmin/

Configuration for E-mail Software:
Incoming Mail Server Name: pop.airfire.ca (new)
Server Type: POP3 Server
Incoming Mail Server Username: is always your email address
7 Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.airfire.ca (new)
Or - use the SMTP server info provided by your local Internet Provider
If you have an Internet dialup or high-speed account ie: sympatico/eastlink - you can use the same SMTP Server used for your email accounts with them.
Outgoing Mail Server Username: always your email address
Or - enter the SMTP Username as required by your local Internet Provider.
If you have an Internet dialup or high-speed account ie: sympatico/eastlink - you can use the same SMTP Username used for your email accounts with them.
Please Note:
There have been issues recently with Aliant High Speed customers using our SMTP Server (smtp.twistedpair.ca) to send email - they have forced it so if you have an Internet dialup or high speed account with them - you have to use their SMTP server. Or - customers who are comfortable making changes to their configuration can use an SMTP port of 26 rather than the standard 25 in order to send mail via Twisted Pair's (now Landlord IT) SMTP server. Please be advised that customers who make this change do so at their own risk.
If you use a SMTP server other than smtp.twistedpair.ca you will need to enable 'Use SMTP Authentication' in your e-mail clients preferences.
