POLICY STATEMENT

CUMANN RINCE DEA MHEASA IS FULLY COMITTED TO

SAFEGUARDING THE WELL BEING OF ITS MEMBERS. EVERY

INDIVIDUAL IN THE ORGANISATION SHOULD AT ALL TIMES, SHOW

RESPECT AND UNDERSTANDING FOR MEMBERS RIGHTS, SAFETY

AND WELFARE AND CONDUCT THEMSELVES IN A WAY THAT

REFLECTS THE PRINCIPLES, RULES OF THE ORGANISATION AND

GOOD PRACTICE FOR CHILDREN’S SPORT IN IRELAND. Guidelines for Teachers

The below guidelines apply to the various public areas in premises occupied by Cumann Rince Dea Mheasa.

The following behaviours are not acceptable under these guidelines:

 Behaviour which is disruptive and interferes with the use and enjoyment of the facility occupied by CRDM

 Harassment of other teachers, pupils, parents or any other members of the public by use of abusive, racist, obscene or threatening language.

 Use of violence or threat of violence towards other teachers, pupils, parents or any other members of the public

 Malicious damage to and/or theft of items/property belonging to CRDM

 The use of alcohol and illicit drugs while attending feiseanna run by CRDM

 Leaving personal property unattended at any CRDM event.

 Approaching Adjudicators is strictly prohibited. Only a teacher of CRDM is permitted to approach a results table after the result has been called.

The following behaviours are encouraged by CRDM and its members:

 Please note neat dress is essential at all times while attending feis run by CRDM

 Teachers need to be aware that you hold a position of authority. You represent your class and CRDM. Please be aware of comments you make when posting information on social networking sites, as some comments can cause offence to others.

 To attend all meetings unless ill or away

 Please be aware that some commenting on social networking sites can cause offence.

 If you have any queries at a Feis you must contact your own teacher to sort it out, only if your own teacher is not there you must then go to the Feis Organiser. You are not permitted to go to a results table to view any results or approach any adjudicator or teacher.

 As a pupil, it is my privilege, not my right, to participate in competitions, classes and performances with CRDM. I understand if I do not follow the code of conduct above, I will face consequences determined by all teachers of CRDM. I understand that the consequences will depend on the severity of the violation and could include suspension from dance classes or competitions. Code of Conduct
