Warren Hills Regional High School Principal Appointed

Dr. Gary R. Bowen, Warren Hills Regional Interim Superintendent of Schools, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Christopher Kavcak as Principal of the Warren Hills

Regional High School. Mr. Kavcak replaces Mr. Earl C. Clymer, III, who occupied the position from September, 2010 through November, 2015. Dr. Bowen stated, “With his experience as a high school teacher, supervisor and principal, enthusiastic personality, and curriculum development background, I am optimistic that Mr. Kavcak will provide the leadership excellence expected by the Warren Hills community.”

Mr. Kavcak has been employed by the Pohatcong Township Board of Education as a school principal at Pohatcong Township Elementary School for the past three years. Mr.

Kavcak’s time as a supervisor and principal has afforded him a wide assortment of experience in such areas as building a positive rapport with staff, students, and parents, foster 21 st century skills in the classroom, supporting staff with professional development, using data to improve student instruction, and fostering a community of learning. Prior to his administrative experiences, Mr. Kavcak was a Mathematics teacher for the

Warren Hills Regional High School from September 1, 2005 through June 30, 2012, when he assumed the position of Supervisor of Mathematics and Science for the 2012-2013 school year.

Mr. Kavcak received his Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education and

Mathematics at Kutztown University in 2005. Mr. Kavcak also holds his Masters Degree in

Educational Leadership from Centenary College.

Mr. Kavcak enjoys spending time with his wife, Kim, and their three daughters, Madison,

Juliana and Alexis. He also enjoys being with extended family and friends.

Mr. Kavcak states, “I am very excited to be a part of the Warren Hills Regional educational community. I look forward to working with the dedicated teachers of Warren Hills and inspiring students to establish and fulfill their goals. My goal is to always contribute through hard work, collaboration, and communication. I look forward to bringing my best back to Warren

Hills and partnering with the students, faculty, parents, and staff to provide the best educational experience possible for all students.”

According to Dr. Bowen, as a result of his spring appointment, ample transition time is available for Mr. Kavcak to be fully prepared for his first day in Warren Hills on July 1st.
