Eligibility  The applicant must be one of the following: (Please check the category that applies to you.) a. A dependent of an Active Duty, National Guard, Reserve military member of any rank assigned to Maxwell-Gunter or b. A military dependent who resides within 30 miles of Maxwell/Gunter Air Force Base to include dependents of retired or deceased military members of any rank or c. A dependent of an Active Duty, National Guard, Reserve military member of any rank whose military sponsor’s servicing Military Personnel Flight is 42nd Force Support Squadron B. Applicant Category  The applicant must choose one category in which to compete; scholarships will be given in each category (Please check the category that applies to you): a. RED Category – A 2014 graduating high school senior b. WHITE Category – A dependent spouse/domestic partner pursuing an undergraduate or master’s degree c. Application for MGOSC Continuing Education Scholarship Part VI: Payment of Grants and Policies Form

1. The Maxwell Gunter Officers' Spouses' Club (MGOSC) Scholarship and Charitable Association, a 501(c) (3) organization, will award several academic scholarships.

2. The winners’ names and images may be used by the MGOSC for publicity purposes.

Awards are granted without regard to USAF member’s military rank or applicant’s race, gender, ethnicity, religion, or disability. 4. The MGOSC will send the scholarship award check directly to the accredited institution where the recipient's account is maintained. It is our intent that it be used for scholastic purposes. Students must request money via Verification Letter form by October 1, 2014. Recipients must use the scholarship money before March 1, 2015 Unused funds will revert to the MGOSC. If extensions are necessary, a letter asking for an extension and explaining circumstances must be postmarked by March 1, 2015 to the MGOSC.

5. Acceptance of a military academy appointment will automatically terminate consideration for MGOSC scholarships.

6. Children, wards, or spouses/domestic partners of any MGOSC Scholarship Committee member are not eligible for a scholarship in the year that person serves.

7. Funds must be utilized at an accredited institution, for individuals seeking an undergraduate degree (or, in the case of spouses/domestic partners, an undergraduate or master’s degree).

8. Applicants in the RED or BLUE categories must be considered a full time student by their institution.

9. The selectee must notify the MGOSC Scholarship Chair of all address changes. Please include contact address for student for 2014-2015 school year so that a confirmation letter for scholarship payment can be mailed.
