The information for registering and making meal reservations for the 2013 OSG session is in this article. Also, keep in mind that this is the same facility our annual sessions was held last year, and it will also be held at this facility in 2014 with the same room rate as last year. The meal rates are also the same for 2013 as in 2012. NOTICE: There will be no special letters with meal and registration forms sent to Delegates, Directors, Officers, Deputies, Committee members, Juniors, Visitors, etc. ALL persons - participants and visitors (except Youth Members) who are registering for the session are to use the SESSION REGISTRATION/MEAL RESERVATION FORM which is located on opposite page. (Youth members will register on a separate Youth Registration Form provided by their Directors.) All the above mentioned persons who have not opted to renew the Ohio Granger for 2013 will have that waived and are receiving this issue. Register your guest rooms directly with the hotel. Call 614-846-0300 and, for the group rate, tell the hotel clerk, “Ohio State Grange”. Room Rate - $79.00, plus $13.23 occupancy and sales tax, = $92.23 per room per night. To guarantee room rate and availability, registrations are to be made by the September 20th 2012 deadline. Reservations made after that date will be provided on a ‘space available’ basis and may be subject to a higher rate. All rooms must be guaranteed with a qualifying form of payment. (A valid credit card is best.) Check in: 3:00 p.m.; check out: 12:00 noon. A small block of rooms has been reserved for Wednesday night October 23rd for anyone wishing to arrive early and also for Sunday night October 27th for anyone wanting to stay those nights. Notify the hotel clerk if you want to reserve your room for Wednesday and/or Sunday nights when making your guest room reservations by telephone. Visitors staying for only part of the nights need to register accordingly. Hotel amenities include ample free parking, Wi-Fi throughout entire hotel, in-room coffee makers, full size ironing boards and irons, hair dryer and voicemail, restaurant, indoor swimming pool - 7:00 am to midnight, exercise center with whirlpool, and 24 hour business center with work center and computers with internet access. Advance registration for the 141st Annual Ohio State Grange Session is required. The advanced registration process allows for printing the name badges and determines the meal function numbers and table assignments. The Grange Banquet, Junior Breakfast, Youth Luncheon AND PIZZAS for Saturday night are, as stated above, to be ordered in advance through the Ohio State Grange Office. Please fill out the form completely and correctly and return it by September 20th. Other than the distribution of pre-ordered meal event tickets, there will be no new meal event tickets available from the session state office during the session. ALL scheduled events will take place in the lower level of the hotel except for some Committee meetings, all Deputy meetings and the Youth Activities rooms. Please realize that you probably won’t be able to check into your guest room until 3:00 pm. Hospitality will take place from 11:00 to 1:15 with snacks and beverages being served in Salon G, which opens into the registration room (Salon F). Session registration will be from 11:30 to 1:15 Thursday in Salon F. The session packets will be available there at that time. After the registration closes, the session packets will be in the state office room, which is Salon H. The Delegate’s meeting with the State Master will be held at 1:30 Thursday in Salon E. Committee work on resolutions will begin following that meeting, around 2:00. Committees will have the rest of the day, including that evening, to complete their work. The Deputies meeting will be at 3:00 in the Columbus Room, on the 6th floor. All county winning contest items and quilt blocks for state judging MUST be checked into the display rooms (Salon A for Junior, Lecturer, Youth, and 41 and Over contests and Salon B for Family Activities contests - including quilt blocks) by 2:00 Thursday. The Session Opening will be Friday morning at 8:30 in the Sixth Degree. Following the usual roll calls, Master’s address, and other formalities, the session work will begin. The election of one Executive Committee Member will commence at 9:30. The complete program will be in the September/October, 2013 Ohio Granger. For general information, there is a restaurant in the hotel and some buffets will be available there.
