Call to Order Chair Sloan called the meeting to order at 10:03 a.m.

Approval of Minutes The Committee reviewed the minutes of November 15, 2011.

Motion: moved by Colin Cavasher and seconded by Dawna Farrell to approve the minutes of the November 15, 2011 meeting as presented. Motion passed.

Spring Training The committee discussed give aways for the Spring Training. The t-shirts will be safety orange. A silhouette of a utility worker on a pole will be on the front of the shirt, sponsor logos on the back. Raffle prizes will consist of a 2012 NESC code book and a Dave Marne Handbook. Stuart will work on constructing trophies for the game winners. The committee is planning on four complete games. The teams will be smaller this year, only four to a team, still mixed between comm and power. Colin will bring PacifiCorp game clickers to make sure there are enough. Seating may have to be rearranged.

Staff will run the idea of having vendor ‘commercials’ by Ian to get an idea of interest and price level, then send out a survey to the rest of the vendors to better gauge interest.

The committee reviewed menu options and decided by consensus to have fruit at the continental breakfast. Lunch on Tuesday will be deli sandwiches and on Wednesday will be the soup, salad

OJUA Publicity & Education Committee Minutes of February 7, 2012 Meeting Draft and potato bar. AV needs should be similar to last year. CSC will provide a projector, Colin will donate his personal projector and will try to get one from PacifiCorp.

The standards committee suggested inviting city/county planners and ODOT to the Spring Training. The P&E committee agreed that was a good idea. Staff will find contact information to send information to those groups.

Jeopardy question timeline:

March 6, 2012 – polish up game April 3, 2012 – polish up game April 24-25, 2012 – Spring Training

Action Items Mary Action: get schematics and maximum occupancy from Sheraton. Get contact info to invite city/county planners, ODOT to Spring Training Contact Ian about vendor ‘commercials’, survey vendor interest

Next Meeting The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Comcast Office.
