Make a re-commitment to excellence in serving our students, organizations, family and community. Improve the quality of your service to students while practicing the art and science of caring for yourself. Learn or relearn life skills to practice and/or teach to students and other important people in your life. Bring a buddy if you wish.

This workshop was developed with Student Affairs Professionals in mind – Vice Presidents, Deans, Coordinators, Counselors, Advisors, Coaches, Support Service Professionals and any and all those who provide direct services to students. 9:00–10:30 Exceptional Customer Service begins with Self-care When you are at your personal best, customer service increases. An unbalanced life can lead to career and personal life burnout limiting your energy and ability to serve customers. Preventing burnout requires an intention and investment in a healthy lifestyle, followed by deliberate practice. Those who have perfected the formula enjoy numerous benefits and serve their customers better. Tap into ancient practices to maximize your ability to balance the priorities of your life. Invest time now to sustain, and improve your performance in the long run. You and your customers deserve it.

The principles of Heart Math will be shared, and participants will be guided in creating their own personal plan for balancing and taming life/work stress.

2:15 – 3:15 “The Game of Time”: Practical Wellness Strategies for Professionals Oftentimes, professionals in education provide service to others regarding how to take care of themselves, stress management, time management, etc.; while sometimes overlooking the very same concepts for themselves when schedules are full and days become long. It’s time to “pause” the clock and help ourselves be the best we can be for both ourselves and students we serve through the use of practical strategies such as living by our values, becoming organized, learning different ways to problem solve, making simple changes to our work area, and incorporating fun into our day!
