Classroom Procedures  Stand against the wall facing the classroom (out of the flow of traffic) until all students from the previous class have exited the classroom.

Entering the classroom  Enter quietly (shirts tucked, no gum)  Read the board for instructions  Place DGP handout on desk  Place loose leaf paper on your desk  Binders on the floor/in the desk  Bags in the back bin  Pass out folders/papers on Mondays  Pass out red pens (DGP)  Turn on lamps (DGP)  Turn off lights when we are ready to start DGP

. After DGP  Pick up red pens  Read the board for instructions  Get ready for next assignment

. Heading  Name (first and last)  Date  Class period  Assignment across the top blue line

. Supplies  Loose leaf paper in a binder  Black pens for everything except prewriting/rough draft  Classroom folder  DGP handout  Go to school website: http://www.gsmsdolphins.com/  Click Forms on the left-hand side.  Under drop down menu Choose a section, pick Teachers.  Go down to Gill documents. . Tardy  Sign log and date it—fourth time is after-school detention

. Gum chewing  Sign log and date it—fourth time is after-school detention

. After-school detention  4 times tardy  4 times of gum chewing  Not showing up for break detention

. Uniform policy  When students cross the threshold of the classroom, uniforms should be in order  No warning will be issued after entry

. Checking out books  Put your name and class period at the top of ONE library card  Write the date/book title  Use only one card per student

. Closing procedures  Desks should be clean  no pen/pencil marks  no graffiti/peeling number sticker

 Area around desk should be clean of all paper/trash whether it’s the student’s or not

 All supplies should be put away in their proper places or students will not have access to them again
