Unit 8- Oscillations Chapter 14

Text College Physics, by Randy Knight, Brian Jones, and Stuart Field, Pearson/Addison Wesley, 1st edition, 2007.

Student Learning Objectives  Understand that oscillatory motion occurs in systems with a linear restoring force.  Be able to describe actual physical systems that undergo oscillatory motion.  Be able to describe oscillatory motion with graphs and equations and use these descriptions to solve problems of oscillatory motion.  Be able to work problems that use conservation of energy in harmonic motion.  Apply concepts of damping and resonance to oscillatory motion.
