Healthy Lunch Poster Assignment Guidelines

You will create a poster to advertise your healthy lunch! Your poster should be creative enough to grab peoples’ attention plus demonstrate knowledge of healthy eating. Students work individually. The posters that fulfill the requirements most accurately will be part of our healthy eating display.

Requirements: 1. Include an illustration / photo / representation of your healthy lunch. 2. Include a description of your lunch on your poster. (food groups, serving size, etc) 3. Include at least 4 nutritional facts about your healthy lunch. Give your lunch menu a creative / fun name and slogan. 5. Posters must be a minimum size of 8.5 x 11.

How to build a healthy lunch: Step 1 – Think of the different food groups and healthy eating tips from Canada’s Food Guide. Go to http://www.hc-sc.gc.ca/fn-an/food-guide-aliment/index-eng.php Step 2 – Aim to have all 4 food groups included in your lunch. Step 3 – Think outside the sandwich! Get creative when building your healthy lunch!
