Ninth Grade Class of 2013 Sample Next-Step Plan 2009-2010 Planning Your Future
At the end of your eighth grade year, you will begin planning courses for high school. Each year in high school you will complete a Next-Step Plan for the coming year. As a senior, you will complete the Final Next-Step Plan, as you prepare for college, other schools, work or military service.
You need 24 units to graduate.

Career Cluster or 1.0 unit Workplace Career Cluster, Workplace Readiness or Readiness, language other Language other than English than English Electives 7.5 units Examples: Language other than English, Computer Technology, Fine Arts, (Art, Music, Dance, and Theater), Driver’s Ed., Financial Literacy, Service Learning, and Media Literacy
Choose at least one. Dual Credit (Your choice will be placed Advanced as an elective, or in an academic area. For example, Placement if you choose an on-line Distance course in economics, the Learning course will count in Social Honors Science.)
