You will research and gather information about your possible future career. Write your research formally as a typewritten 400 word paper, plus a resource page. There will be five components to this research: 1) Educational requirements 2) Salaries 3) Job Market 4) Job Description 5) Employee Skills and Characteristics

1) Describe the educational requirements for your career. What colleges and or programs offer the training you would need? What classes should you take in High School? Do you need a college degree? If so, what major? Do you need a graduate degree? If so, what type?

2) Describe the salary scale for your chosen career. What are entry level salaries? What is the most that you could make in this profession?

3) Describe the job market for your career. In other words, is there a shortage of people in that field, or is it a more competitive job market? How qualified do you need to be in order to get a job in your chosen field? Where in the United States or in the world is there the most need for people in your career?

4) Describe what you would do on a day to day basis with the career that you have chosen. What types of projects would you do? Would you travel? What type of hours will you keep? Would you take work home?

5) Describe the skills and characteristics that employers would want in your chosen career. What type of additional training and experience can help you to obtain these skills and characteristics? Rubric For each topic, answer the questions above. You will be graded on the quality and completeness of your answers.
