Indoor Soccer 2 Touch Soccer

Indoor Soccer – 2 Touch Soccer Physical Education Class Modified Rules

 All games will be played on one area of court grid, 2vs2, 3vs3 or 4vs4  THE Goal will be one 24” cone. Soccer ball must touch the cone to score.  All players MUST have a minimum of 2 TOUCHES on the ball before passing or shooting the soccer ball.  Any ball going OFF your playing grid area should be passed in to play from your sideline. NOT from another playing area  FOR SAFETY, DO NOT PLAY THE BALL FROM ANOTHER GRID PLAYING AREA. STAY ON YOUR PLAYING AREA. DO NOT GO ONTO ANOTHER GRID  Defense will be person to person. No more then 2 players (1 from each team) near the ball at any time  Players may not make contact with another player; any contact is a PERSONAL FOUL. This would turn over possession of the ball to the opposing team.  Defensive players should try to keep their back to the GOAL they are defending and stay between the goal and the player they are defending  All players should always be able to see the soccer ball  Defensive players are the team without possession of the soccer ball  Offensive players are the team in possession of the soccer ball  An offensive player has 3 options when in possession of the soccer ball: dribble, pass, or shoot the ball.  If an offensive player is not in direct possession of the ball, they should move around the playing area in an attempt to be in an “open” position to receive a pass from a teammate with the ball  Offensive players can move the ball around the court by controlled dribbling or controlled passing of the ball. ALWAYS 2 touch Minimum  In class we use flat passes and short through passes  All passes must be CONTROLLED short passes - NO FULL KICKS  NO intimidation or “FAKE” kicks – this would result in a turnover of ball  If a team scores a GOAL, the other team takes possession immediately and goes on offense trying to move the ball towards their goal at opposite end of playing area.  Demonstrate good team work on both Offensive and Defense  Always demonstrate Good Sportsmanship and fair play.
