EU YOUTH Programme A 5.3 - Contact Making Seminar

“Meeting place open space” Contact Making Seminar for youth exchanges with social disadvantaged young people Dec. 3rd - Dec. 7th 2005, Europahaus, Wien/Austria

organised by the Austrian National Agency for the EU YOUTH Programme in co-operation with wienXtra-jugendinfo [youth information centre Vienna]

Duration The Contact Making Seminar will start on Dec. 3rd in the evening and end on Dec. 7th after breakfast. We expect participants to attend the full duration of the seminar.

Participants There will be place for 35 participants, who will be selected according to the criteria below:

As participants we invite youth workers

 from EU YOUTH Programme programme-countries (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey and UK)  who are directly working with young people  who are working with social disadvantaged young people  who are interested in international partner contacts and youth exchanges and  who are able to work in English. (Experience in international youth work is not required!)

Especially we invite youth workers from the capital cities of our new EU neighbour countries, from Prague, Bratislava, Budapest and Ljubljana!

Accomodation The Contact Making Seminar “Meeting place open space” will take place at a very nice seminar hotel Europahaus Wien [http://www.europahauswien.at]. Accommodation will be in shared (double) rooms.

Seminar Costs Accommodation and meals (full board) will be paid by the organisers/the Austrian National Agency for the EU YOUTH Programme. Extra drinks have to be paid by yourself.

Travel costs should be paid by your National Agency for the EU YOUTH programme or otherwise by your organisation. Please contact your National Agency and ask about the reimboursement of your travel before sending your application!

Your participation shouldn’t fail because of travel costs: If neither your National Agency nor your organisation would pay for your travel costs, please contact us and tell us. We will then try to find another solution.

(There is no participation fee.)

Application procedure Please use the enclosed application form and send your application by September 30th at the latest. You will be informed about the selection results as soon as possible, but by October 10th at the latest.
