Expectations Students will: - Be positive and believe in your own ability to learn and achieve success. - Arrive on time and be prepared to work with required materials. - Complete class work and homework daily and thoroughly.

Grading Policy All grades will be posted on Jupiter Grades.

All grades will be posted 89.5% of total points = A Homework = 10% 79.5% of total points = B Labs/Projects = 10% 69.5% of total points = C Tests = 50% 59.5% of total points = D Quizzes = 15% Below 59.5% =  no credit Final Exam = 15%

Homework Problems will be assigned regularly and will be checked for completeness. Homework is meant for practice and it is crucial that students complete each problem to the best of his/her ability.

Assignments are due by 8:00am sharp on the day the assignment is due and are to be placed in the “homework box” under your class period. After that time, homework is considered LATE and will be penalized to half-credit. There will be NO EXCEPTIONS to this rule.

Cheating During an assessment, communicating verbally or non-verbally with another student, looking at another student’s paper or allowing a student to look at your paper, using an unapproved electronic device such as a phone, ipod, etc. or anything else that may be perceived as cheating will be considered as such. On the first offense, a student will receive a score of zero, final grade lowered by one grade, and parent/guardian notification via a referral through the appropriate administrator. If there is a second offense, the student will receive a course grade of “F.” Please refer to the school cheating policy for further information. Note Any missed tests, quizzes, and assignments must be made up. Make-ups will be by appointment only before or after school. If you are absent, you are responsible to acquire appropriate notes for the missed day from the teacher, peers, online instructor website, and/or the Jupiter grades website. No additional extensions will be given for homework assignments (See Homework above).

Each exam will be reviewed in class after every student has taken the exam. Appeals to test grades can be made after class. The instructor’s decisions in these matters are final.

All school policies will be enforced with no exceptions! Students will abide by the guidelines in the BHHS Student Handbook pertaining to discipline, attendance, appearance, academic honesty, tardiness, etc. It is the student’s responsibility to be familiar with these policies.
