Bring your friends, family, moms and daughters, husbands and co-workers! Guys, here is a great chance to pick up a gift for that lady in your life! No malls or crazy traffic! You can come and shop in a laid back, relaxed atmosphere, chat with your friends, have a bite to eat, all while supporting the Irons Oaks Foundation. All proceeds from this evening's event will help to subsidize the programs that support the mission of Irons Oaks Environmental Learning Center. With funding for field trips being cut every day in our local schools, it is a goal of the foundation to offer scholarships so that schools are able to continue these very important outings for our school children.
The Irons Oaks Environmental Learning Center, a 40-acre nature preserve, is home to a diversity of wildlife and habitat types and is a facility that provides students with an opportunity to be good conservationists and good citizens. It is a joint project of the Homewood-Flossmoor and Olympia Fields Park Districts. There are trails along both sides of the park and as you walk the trails, you'll see beautiful woods, wildflowers, birds and furry friends along the way. At tonight's event, you will learn more about our facility and hear about the wonderful programs that we offer for our children and community. Irons Oaks' programs and services reach over 40,000 individuals annually in the greater Chicago land area, including Cook, DuPage, Will, Kane and Lake Counties -- through community events, on-site and outreach experiences and professional development seminars. Irons Oaks audiences include at-risk youth, regional school groups, grades K-12, corporate groups, families and special needs organizations. All donations to the Irons Oaks Foundation are tax deductible as allowed by law.
Irons Oaks Environmental Learning Center - we're dedicated to enhancing social and natural communities through experiential education services & projects, professional development opportunities, and community initiatives.
Respond Now has been around since 1969 answering the emergency needs of residents of the Chicago South Suburban Area. They are a United Way agency. They are here to offer relief and a helping hand to the poor among us. They believe in helping our neighbors because we have no doubt that CARING is the key to true community!
