Step 1: Identify your tone word from the list provided.

Step 2: Pick one day on the calendar to present. Write your name and your tone word on the chosen date.

Step 3: Research both the denotative and connotative meaning of the word. Use dictionaries, both scholarly and slang, and speak with others about their prior knowledge of the word.

Step 4: The following things should be included in your Powerpoint about your tone word. *Denotative Meaning *Connotative Meanings *Visually represent the word (background selection, cartoon, picture) *Sentence using your word correctly. *MLA citation of sources

Step 5: On the day of your presentation, you should email the Powerpoint to me before 8 a.m.

Step 6: Bring the scoring guide to the presentation.
