ASTROLOGY, WITCHCRAFT, AND DEMONOLOGY

1. I Samuel 28:3-19: Possible, but not approved, case of divining a spirit. 2. Exodus 22:18: A witch is not to be allowed to live. 3. Leviticus 20:6, 27: Don't go to witches, rather, stone them to death. 4. I Samuel 28:3, 9: Mediums or spiritists were supposed to be killed in the Old Testament. 5. Jeremiah 27:9, 10: Don't listen to their prophecies of lies! 6. Leviticus 19:31: Don't seek them out or you'll be defiled 7. Deuteronomy 13:1-5: Even if their sign comes to pass, stone them, for they are evil. 8. Deuteronomy 17:2-5: Those who worship the sun, moon, stars, should be stoned to death. 9. Deuteronomy 4:15-19: Astrology is condemned as another form of idolatry. 10. Exodus 23:7: We are always to avoid what is false. 11. Leviticus 19:26: Witchcraft, soothsaying, divination, drinking blood: all condemned. 12. Malachi 3:5: The Lord is against sorcerers. 13. Leviticus 17:10: Don't drink blood (as witches often do). 14. II Kings 9:22: With harlots and witches there is no peace. 15. Isaiah 47:9: Witchcraft is powerless against God's judgement. 16. Isaiah 47:12-15: Astrologers are nothing but useless saviors. 17. Isaiah 44:24, 25: The Lord makes fools of diviners. 18. Galatians 5:20: Witchcraft or sorcery is a work of the flesh or devil. 19. Acts 8:9-11, 19-23: Sorcery is self-centered and sinful; something to repent of. 20. Acts 13:6-11: Magicians are (sorcerers are) fraudulent, deceitful sons of the devil who work against the truth. 21. Acts 16:16-18: Here the spirit of divination was separate from the person. 22. Acts 19:13-16: Exorcists who used Jesus' name still fled naked and wounded. 23. Acts 15:20, 29: Drinking of blood forbidden in the New Testament as well.
