On behalf of the Hispanic Hall of Fame Committee and the Tommy Nunez Foundation, it gives me an enormous amount of pride and pleasure to announce your induction into the Arizona Hispanic Sports Hall of Fame. An awards ceremony, dinner and dance will be held in your honor on May 30th, 2009 at the James Speros Community Center – 1979 E. Maryland Avenue in Phoenix, Arizona. You will be entitled to two complimentary tickets to the event. Additional information in regards to invitations, purchasing additional tickets and a schedule of events will be forthcoming.

Not only were you an outstanding athlete, but you are considered a role model as well. It is a deserved recognition for your successes and achievements. You, among others, are being honored, most importantly as the individuals that laid the foundation for the many Hispanics who followed in your footsteps. It is because of your accomplishments and desire to succeed that the windows of opportunity were opened to the many of us in Arizona, not only in athletics, but also in our proud cultural and traditional activities we celebrate in our communities.

I have felt for many years that athletes such as yourself, should not only be remembered, but recognized and celebrated for all you have accomplished in your lives. It is our wish that you will honor us with your presence at the 4th Induction Celebration to recognize your accomplishments and honor you for such.
