A population pyramid is used to provide a visual impression of the age and sex composition of a country’s population. A country’s population pyramid by age and sex cohorts is provided in the tables below. In order to construct your own population pyramids for the four countries provided, follow these instructions:

 Calculate the TOTAL Population (males and females combined)  Calculate percentage of TOTAL Population for each sex and age cohort  Use the grids provided to construct a population pyramid for each country  Refer to the pyramids you produce to answer the following questions
