MEDITATIONS FROM NOVEMBER 2011 SUNDAY BULLETINS

THE FATHER AND I ARE ONE November 6, 2011 Dr. Al G. Salazar, Minister Emeritus (from September 1999)

We can speculate that one day a young man decided to contemplate a deeper meaning for the word Omni-present. While in this state he came into a great realization and said,

“Whither shall I go from thy Spirit? “Whither shall I flee from thy Presence? “If I ascend into heaven, Thou are there; “If I make my bed in hell, behold, Thou art there.”

What a blessing and what a relief to know that man is never alone. That in the midst of joy and happiness, and even in the midst of wars and arguments and hurts and fears, the fullness of God is there. With all of His Love and all of His Wisdom and all His Power. Just waiting for our recognition. Not unlike the soil that waits for the seed.

It is not enough to understand the meaning of Omnipresence if at the moment of need we forget the Presence and turn to the old way of doing things. All healing is the result of living from the realization that the very ground whereon we stand is holy because the Spirit of God dwelleth in us. All healing is the result of establishing a new relationship with God: where I am in God and God is in me. Where the Father and I are one.

“Be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”

THE BIBLE November 13, 2011 Rev Dr. Miriam Comer Johnson

Many powers have been attributed to the Bible. There is a great reverence for the Bible. Many people keep a copy of the Bible in their cars, as an amulet. We see members of the clergy carrying Bibles held close to their hearts.

The Bible is a sacred book. It reveals power so awesome – beyond time and space. It gives us a closer relationship with God, the consciousness of the universe.

We reverence the Bible because it reveals the Truth of man. It reveals the secret in the very heart of man – that which is sacred within each one of us. The Bible speaks of the Presence of Love in the midst of our being.

We are living Bibles – far, far more sacred than the books. We live, breathe and have our being in some phase of the Bible consciousness daily. As we open our hearts, we learn to recognize the power of God’s love moving through the experiences of our lives, and making our way perfect. We call that power the Christ. And So It Is. IN THY LIGHT TRUTH IS REVEALED November 27, 2011 Rev Maria Borrero

“And God said, let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light that it was good..” Genesis 1:3, 4

Spiritual Light represents understanding and illumination of God’s Truth and Wisdom. When we first seek God’s Kingdom by being still and silent, as we turn within our very own being, our consciousness is filled with God’s light.

We then walk the path of spiritual illumination where we learn what true freedom is. For God told us that his “light was good and very good.” The Christ within shines God's light on the path to spiritual unfoldment. We must live in God's light, so that His wisdom and intelligence fills and guides us to his kingdom.

Let us be open to God’s Spiritual light so that we may be led to know God, that his Truth be fulfilled in us. It is then we are given spiritual understanding that fills our empty vessel. “The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.” Matthew 6:22

And so it is, amen
