***The Omega Psi Phi Talent Hunt*** Bobby Lynn Basileus Attention High School Students and Graduating Seniors: Willie Miller Vice Basileus The Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Omicron Pi Chapter, Killeen, Arthur Bryan Keeper of Records & Seal Texas, announces its Annual Omega Talent Hunt.
Ronnie Ferguson The purpose of this event is to search for that special talent or Keeper of Finance talents that our youth possess. We want to showcase these talents, Vic Herbin provide exposure and to encourage performing in a competitive Asst. Keeper of Finance environment. Marvin Bell Chaplain Competition is open for the following category forms of art: Instrumental music – classical, popular or contemporary Jerome Blackman Keeper of Peace Vocal music - classical, popular or contemporary Drama – dramatic interpretation Dance – ballet, creative, modern or tap
Basic rules for participation: Contestant must be a high school student (9-12th) in the Killeen, Copperas Cove, Belton and Temple area. May only compete in one of the above categories. Selection will be limited to four (4) minutes or less. Submit application (with $20 non-refundable fee) along with an audition CD/DVD prior to posted deadline. Applications received after deadline will not be accepted. Twenty (20) finalists will be selected and notified for competition. Selected finalists will meet with Committee to answer questions, distribute tickets, and to discuss the ad booklet. All presentations must be dignified and in good taste. Winner of local competition may be selected to compete at the higher levels of District, and International level. Travel cost will be provided to the winner by the local chapter. Contestants must perform alone (with an accompanist* if required) as opposed to group participation. * Note: Contestants are encouraged to use their personal accompanist or other mechanical means of accompanist, such as an audio cassette/cd.
Dress for the contest should be clean, non-obscene and in good taste

Prizes will be provided as follows: 1st Place - $400.00 2nd Place - $300.00 3rd Place - $200.00
* The Talent Hunt Committee has the option of inviting the lst Place winner to compete at the District Level Competition scheduled on Saturday, April 10, 2008, in Shreveport, LA, beginning at 6:00PM. The first, second, and third place winners at the District Competition will receive cash prizes.

* Note: Contestants are encouraged to invite family and friends to attend the Competition. 1. Submit all applications for the Talent Hunt by deadline posted on application. All finalists will be contacted upon completion of screening and will meet with the Talent Hunt committee on selected date to answer questions about the final competition, distribute tickets and ad order invoices for ad booklets.
2. The committee will review audition CD/DVDs and notify finalists no later than 27 Jan 09.
3. Competition – All contestants need to provide a demo CD /DVD with their application to the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. The CD/DVD will be used to screening purpose only. The top twenty (20) finalists will be invited to showcase their talent live and compete for the title of the 2009 Omicron Pi Talent Hunt Champion.
4. The winner may be requested to compete at the upcoming Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. 9th District Competition (held in Shreveport, LA, 10 April 2009) and possibly a round trip excursion to the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.Grand Conclave to represent the 9th District.
5. Judges – At least 3 Judges will evaluate each student on the day of the competition.
6. Advertisement Sales - Each finalist will be given applications to sell ads to family members, friends or businesses to show support in their endeavor to be crowned the 2009 Omicron Pi Chapter Talent Hunt Champion. The student that garners the most Ad sales in dollars will be given a cash prize of $100.
7. Ticket Sales- Each finalist will be given an opportunity to sell tickets. The student that garners the most ticket sales in dollars will also be given a cash prize of $100.
8. CD/DVD - The audition CD/DVD will not be returned. However, the fraternity will not use the media for any purpose other than to pre-select the top twenty finalists. Omicron Pi Chapter The Omega Psi Phi Talent Hunt Application Form (use TAB key to move to each field)
