Mayor Coomer opened the meeting at 7:49pm. All City Commissioners and Officials were present.

JUNE MEETING MINUTES

There were no changes to the draft of the June minutes. Commissioner Holsclaw made a motion to approve the June minutes. Commissioner Crockett seconded the motion. All were in favor.

TREASURER’S REPORT

City Treasurer Alvey read the financial report for June 2012. Commissioner Holsclaw made a motion to approve the Treasurer’s Report pending audit. Commissioner Crockett seconded the motion. All were in favor.

ORDINANCES - BILLS FOR PAYMENT

City Treasurer Alvey presented the bills for the month of July. Commissioner Crockett made a motion to approve the ordinances as written. Commissioner Holsclaw seconded the motion. All were in favor.

MAYOR’S REPORT Guests Paul Singer and Diane Bell proposed a City-wide shredding event to be put on by their company, Wells Fargo Advisors. The event will take place on September 8th, 2012 from 10am to Noon. Resident Jennifer Hunt reported that a resident on Vale Circle has chickens on their property. City Attorney Chauvin will send a letter to the resident. Mayor Coomer received a complaint about a truck parked on Springvale Drive. Commissioner Budniak will send a letter to the resident.

SANITATION

Nothing to report.

ROADS & MAINTENANCE

Commissioner Holsclaw reported on more graffiti issues within the City. Bluegrass Striping will re-stripe the City roadways relating to STOP bars, etc. ANIMALS

Nothing to report.

BEAUTIFICATION

Commissioner Budniak reported on an e-mail received relating to trees causing a safety issue. Additionally, there have break-ins to residents sheds on Nandina.

SAFETY & INSURANCE

Commissioner Streit reported the monthly statistics related to Graymoor Devondale Police activity. Insurance tax collection has reached $83,500.

CITY ENGINEER

City Engineer Trautwein reported an inquiry about the properties on Hillvale relating to building one large house on both properties.

CITY ATTORNEY

City Attorney Chauvin updated the Commission on the delinquent tax bill letters and a court date for an accident which happened within the City.

OLD BUSINESS

A 2nd Reading was completed to change City Commissioners meetings to 7:00pm on the 3 rd Monday of the month. Mayor Coomer made the Motion for a new ordinance to replace Ordinance #2 – 2007 on this topic. Commissioner Budniak seconded the motion. Commissioners Crockett and Holsclaw were in favor. Commissioner Streit was against. Motion carried.

NEW BUSINESS

August Commissioners meeting will be at 7:00pm. The September meeting will be moved to September 24, 2012 with Commissioner Streit posting the change.

There being no further business to discuss for July 2012, Commissioner Budniak made a motion to adjourn. Commissioner Crockett seconded the motion. All were in favor. Mayor Coomer adjourned the meeting at 8:50pm.
