[4103] 2 1 Whereas, with the 2013 victory, Heathwood garnered its firstever 2 SCISA lacrosse state championship, finishing the season 50 in 3 SCISA and 93 overall; and 4 5 Whereas, in a sport that demands quickness and agility, strategy 6 and strength, Head Coach Patrick Fitzgerald and his skilled 7 coaching staff capitalized on their own athletic ability and training 8 to hone a championship team and teach these athletes lessons that 9 will prove invaluable through life both on and off the field; and 10 11 Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of 12 Representatives appreciate the pride and recognition that the 13 Heathwood Hall lacrosse players have brought to their school and 14 the community and look to hear of their continued 15 accomplishments. Now, therefore, 16 17 Be it resolved by the House of Representatives: 18 19 That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, 20 by this resolution, recognize and honor the Heathwood Hall 21 Episcopal School varsity lacrosse team, coaches, and school 22 officials for an outstanding season, and congratulate them for 23 capturing the 2013 South Carolina Independent School 24 Association State Championship title. 25 26 Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to 27 Head of School Michael Heath and Coach Patrick Fitzgerald. 28 XX 29
