Vice President Report:

1. AYL Interleague Play – Kevin discussed concerns. Eight teams in D1 seem to be diluted. Different rules are not favored. If there were 16 teams that would be ideal. Room not in favor of the proposal to AYL Interleague Play for 2017.

2. 20 to go – Interested in holding a tournament. Shane is to continue setting this up. This would need to be advertised BIG! Everyone will need to help in order for this to be successful.

3. Rule change 2017-1A – New rule: All 2nd and 3rd grade teams shall not use special teams, including Kickoffs, and Punts. For all 2nd and 3rd grade teams, the ball placement for the start of play at game start, halftime, and change of possession after score, shall be at the 15 yard line 2nd & 3rd Free Punt. Discussion on this topic was: this is a game changer. We want kids to learn now while they are young. This would cut into player count. The vote: no one in favor of this. BYAFL is voting this down.

Old Business: Directors for grade levels – Each of the candidates gave a speech to why they should selected as the Grade Level Director. Each team was allowed to cast one vote. Those who applied were: Kerry Villano, Josh Johnson, and Ryan Hanson. The ballots were handed out after each candidate was allowed to speak. Votes were read in open session with total transparency. The Grade Level Director selected was Josh Johnson. He will select his members of his committee. They will handle complaints and concerns of the organization.

New Business:

Brighton High School Football Coach – Casey Pelton - Next month he will have information about camps.

Marketing and Sponsorship – Stormy created a new Facebook page. Don’t forget to like the new page.

She is sending out 100 letters to businesses. She is also looking into a silent auction. Gift card pool for new players when they have been referred to by an existing player. Dicks Sporting Goods is offering gifts. Banner will be made with all sponsors names. Elitches day, Spaghetti dinner, Papa Johns will have been deals. Stormy has been so busy and working on great things.

Stormy also discussed certification on CPR for each Coach. This would be held on two different days. You would be required to attend one training. Looking at getting an AED machine at our fields, that is where the certification is needed. Urgent Care would be available.

Hudl – Look at the usage. Three different levels are available. Do we have what we need?
