Objectives of Mentoring Program

PSPS HR MENTORING PROGRAM MENTEE NOMINATION/APPLICATION 2016

Objectives of Mentoring Program To strengthen the professional development of early-in-career HR Professionals in the Greater Philadelphia area through mentoring, professional coaching and exposure to a PSPS member. To provide mentors with the benefits of mentoring and coaching an early-in-career HR professional.

Criteria for Eligibility of Mentees  Nominated for consideration by a current PSPS member.  Interested in a long-term professional career in HR.  Two to eight years professional experience in the field of HR, presently client facing and working as a generalist or specialist job within a corporate/business HR department, or, entry consultant or staff specialist in a firm providing HR consulting.  Demonstrates a promising combination of talents and personal motivation through application and personal interview.

Obligations of Mentees in the PSPS Mentoring Program 2016  Participate in orientation and kick-off session in early January 2016.  Meet with assigned mentor for a minimum of 11 individual meetings by June 2016. The mentor is an experienced Human Resource professional and a member in good standing of the PSPS (Philadelphia Society of People and Strategy).  Participate in an “idea exchange” meeting of all mentoring pairs, mid way through the program.  Participate in program wrap up in June 2016.

Application and Selection Process  Any current member of PSPS may nominate a HR professional for inclusion as a mentee in the 2016 HR Mentoring Program.  The nominator should contact the potential nominee to provide background information about the program, and to secure his/her interest.  Both nominator and mentee applicant complete the nomination form below, and submit it by October 22, 2015 to the PSPS Association Management Team via email at [email protected]  A member of the Mentoring Program Committee will contact you for a personal interview and to answer your questions  The Mentoring Program Committee, using information provided in your application, personal interview and Mentor, will create matched pairs. Mentees and Mentors will be notified by late November 2015.
