They will address both special needs and enrichment needs in the school  Marion is returning to office part time after maternity leave.

Will hold off on these reports until after Peter Noll starts his position as principal and is able to familiarize himself with the school etc. One announcement is that Melissa Hauser is now the Gala Chair and will be bringing Gala back to the school on April 11, 2015. This also represents 15th year of the Gala.

VI. Principal Report – Dr. Peter Noll

 He is asking the Education Committee and teachers to spearhead coming up with a Strategic plan for the school. Input should come though from anyone in the parish community. In addition, goals from the schools past- accreditation should be included in the strategic plan.  He has had meetings with the teachers and about some goals that he has for them or they have for themselves. Teachers need to be able to teach to all kids so that all kids are fully engaged in learning and in order to do this, the school needs to provide in service training for the teachers.  Surveys need to be conducted of those families not returning. He would like to do as many of these as he can this year with the hopes that honest feedback would be given. The marketing committee surveys will be looked at to aid in this regard.

Other/Closing:

A parent group was inquiring about spirit wear. This group should supply Lynn Huebsch with a proposal to bring to the next meeting.

Next Meeting Date: July 15, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. in the church conference room
