ASSET TeacherLeader Responsibilities: September 2007 – June 2008

ASSET TeacherLeader Will: A. Attend and actively participate in the 2 day face-to-face ASSET TeacherLeader Boot Camp at ASU in Tempe, AZ on September 21 and 22, 2007. Note: This date has tentatively been changed to 12/14-12/15. B. Successfully complete one PBS TeacherLine course, “Putting Technology to Use in the Classroom: Where to Start” along with other ASSET TeacherLeaders in Fall 2007. C. Meet with ASSET Professional Development Staff Contact at least twice during the contract period and participate in a monthly conference call with ASSET staff and other TeacherLeaders. D. Provide support to users of IDEAL and ASSET services at the sites designated in your TeacherLeader application. This support may include but is not limited to the following: face-to-face training workshops or webinars; individual coaching; user name/password assistance; advertising ASSET services through local newsletters, etc., distribution of ASSET marketing materials, and providing tech integration assistance within the classroom. E. Recruit a minimum of 10 educators at your designated site(s) or 10% percent of total employees (certified/paraprofessional) at your designated site(s) to successfully complete one PBS TeacherLine or ASSET Online course. Winning Teams from sites encouraged.(SEI courses not included) F. Conduct 1 face to face new online learner workshop for educators at site each quarter. G. Attend ASSET Portal Administrator Training. Completion of ASSET Portal Administrator Training prior to June 2007 will fulfill this requirement. H. Assist District/School site in aligning IDEAL and ASSET Resources and Professional Development offerings to School Improvement Goals and/or PDLA plans. I. Complete quarterly progress and other reports as required using ASSET Report Template for purposes of PBS TeacherLine Local Innovation Fund Grant report requirements. J. Actively participate in ASSET TeacherLeader Learning Community to share information and ideas on IDEAL Portal and ASSET service rollout and training issues. K. OPTIONAL: Successfully complete the PBS TeacherLine Online Facilitator Training prior to June 2008. The TeacherLeader may also provide a substitute educator with administrative approval to complete this online course requirement.

Site Administrator Responsibilities

Site Administrator Will: A. Support the work of ASSET TeacherLeader, ______, by providing time and facilities for face- to-face trainings on IDEAL and ASSET resources or professional development opportunities as needed B. Assist ASSET TeacherLeader, ______, in providing support to users of IDEAL and ASSET services. This support may include but is not limited to the following: face-to-face training workshops or webinars; individual coaching; user name/password assistance; advertising IDEAL and ASSET services through local newsletters, etc., distribution of IDEAL and ASSET marketing materials, and providing tech integration assistance within the classroom. C. Insure ASSET TeacherLeader has accomplished the responsibilities above in a timely manner.
