Job Title: Outbound Communications Agent

Location: Labour Party Head Office – Newcastle

Key Purpose: To make outbound calls to members and supporters, gathering information, building relationships and acquiring members and donations.

Specific Responsibilities:

1. Undertaking outbound telephone communications to meet Party objectives, ranging from information gathering and polling, to relationship building and calls involving an element of financial persuasion.

2. Providing a first class experience to Labour Party members.

3. Recording information and processing data accurately and securely.

4. Acting as mentors to and assist with the briefing and training of new Outbound Communications Agents.

5. Providing fulfilment and clerical support where required.

6. The post-holder will be expected to adopt a flexible attitude to his/her work and to the work of the department.

KNOWLEDGE

 Broad knowledge/understanding of the vision for the development of the Labour Party

EXPERIENCE

 Experience of professional telephone communications would be desirable.

 Experience of working to targets and deadlines.

 Experience of working in a non-profit organisation would be an advantage

 Experience of working in a fundraising role would be an advantage.

SKILLS/ABILITIES

 Excellent telephone manner.

 Enthusiasm and commitment to providing a quality service to members and supporters.

 Dedication and attention to detail.

 Good communication and inter-personal skills.

 Self-motivation.
