Class Rules

1. Follow all directions.

2. Show respect to the teacher and others.

 No swearing or teasing.

 No yelling or screaming use indoor voice.

 No chewing gum or eating food.

3. Be in your seat and prepared before the bell rings.

4. Raise your hand and wait for permission to speak.

5. Never leave your seat or the room without permission.

6. The teacher dismisses you, not the bell.

3- Strikes Rule: Consequences for Breaking Rules

Students who choose to disrupt the learning environment will be given consequences. Students who choose not to follow the posted classroom rules will receive the following after being warned:

1. Stay in during Nutrition.

2. Call home/Parent Conference

3. Referral

4. All students who break the rules will receive a “U” in cooperation and Fail or zero in that days’ performance points.

*Every step is determined by the severity of the disruption. For example, a student can get to step four without going through step 1, 2, 3, by arguing with teacher or a peer in class.

Warm-Ups/Agendas

 All Warm-ups and Agendas will be written in your composition book.

 Use blue or black ink pen only.

 There will be an Agenda check daily.

 Each agenda is worth 5-points each. (For copying and for answering the dispatch question.)

 If you are late 1-point is deducted & if you are so late that you miss copying it you get “0” points. Assignments

 All assignments will be written in black or blue ink pen.

 Paper must have no perforated edges. Use loose-leaf notebook paper only.

 If an assignment that is required to be done in pen is written in pencil it will receive a “No Mark” until it is redone and is subject to late points if turned in late.

Last Name, First Name Period Date

Title

 2 point deduction for no heading.

 1 point deduction for no title.

 1 point deduction for no name

Late Assignments

 Any assignment that is late will receive a 20% or 1/5th deduction.

Bathroom Pass

 There is a hall pass and list in the class, each student needs to sign in and out.

 The pass is not to be used the first ten minutes of class or the last ten minutes of class.

 It is the student’s responsibility not to lose it.

 No one will leave the room until the pass is returned.

Class Dismissal

 All materials should be put away.

 All rows must be clean of trash and straight before dismissal.
