Pre-Trip Inspection Class A
Truck will have 98 items to be checked on a truck with 2 axles and 2 trailer axels. You must tell the tester what you are checking each part for. You will have to check each axle as outlined. There is no order or sequence to the test. If you miss a part, you can go back and identify it. You can identify a part by a different name, as long as the tester knows what you are referring to. You are getting graded that you know what to check each part for, not that you know the names of the parts.
This order starts in the engine compartment and inspects only the axles on the driver’s side of the truck. The test requires you to only inspect the driver side unless the item is only on the passenger side (parts in engine compartment, exhaust).
